A grant writing workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 6 at the Holiday Inn, according to the organizer.
Author and educator Don Myers will hold the workshop. Myers is author of “The Joy of Writing Grants” and heads RCS Grant Writing Systems, a company he founded after 20 years with the Arizona State Parks Department, where he managed grant requests from municipalities and other agencies, the release reads.

Surgery center granted licensing
The Surgery Center of Eastern New Mexico has been granted permanent licensing by the state of New Mexico and Medicare, according to a news release from the center.
The Surgery Center underwent an audit Dec. 28 by the New Mexico Department of Health to be considered for permanent state and Medicare licensing, according to the release. Auditors found no deficiencies in processes or documentation, and no areas were cited for potential weaknesses or needing improvement, the release reads.
