Trial delayed due to road conditions
For a second day, poor road conditions caused by a winter storm prevented the start of a first-degree murder trial Tuesday. It was originally slated to begin Monday in the 9th Judicial District Court.

Robert “Pelon” Macias, 31, is accused in the shooting death of 19-year-old Wilfred Salas Jr., who died of a gunshot to the head Jan. 15, 2006.

If convicted, Macias faces life in prison with a possible parole review at 30 years.
