Sen. Pete Domenici, R-N.M., is accepting applications for his summer internship program in Washington, D.C., according to a press release from his office.
Applicants must have completed at least one year of study at an institution of higher learning.
The internship will take place in six-week sessions, with the first session running from the end of May to the end of June, and the second from the beginning of July through the middle of August, the release reads.
Applications are available on Domenici’s Web site at http://domenici.senate.gov in the “student’s corner.”

Student nominated to military academy
Barrett Stewart of Clovis High School has been nominated to the U.S. Air Force Academy by Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M., according to a press release from Bingaman’s office.
Each year, New Mexico senators select students for nomination to U.S. military academies.
Academy review boards select senator nominees based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and leadership potential, according to the release.
Bingaman nominated 50 students for possible admission to military academies.
