Clovis fans of Burgers, Fries and Cherry Pies won’t have to drive to Lubbock much longer.
The restaurant chain plans to opens its first store in New Mexico at 901 E. Llano Estacado Blvd. in June
“There’s lots of people from Clovis that come and eat with us,” said director of operations Jodie Heilman, explaining the restaurant tracks clientele through a rewards program.
Owners Sam and Misty Nimry started the business two years ago and have two restaurants in Lubbock and another in Abilene, Texas.
Heilman said the restaurant earned the best burgers of Lubbock vote in 2006 by readers of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
“We grind and season our own meat” for the burgers, which are served on sourdough-based bread in white, wheat or jalapeno cheddar, she said.
“Everything is homemade,” she said, including the full-moon-shaped cherry pies made from Misty Nimry’s mom’s recipe.
The 2,800-square-foot facility in Clovis is expected to employ 25 to 30 people, Heilman said.
