United Blood Services will hold blood drives from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Ingram Room of Clovis-Carver Public Library and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at North Plains Mall, according to UBS news releases.
Donors must be 17, in good health and have a photo ID. They will receive a free cholesterol test.
A $25 Wal-Mart gift card will be the door prize at both events, and donors will receive T-shirts. Donors will have the opportunity to win a trip to Las Vegas, Nev., for two.
Donors will be able to give one unit of whole blood or two units of red blood cells. To qualify as a double red-cell donor, men must weigh at least 130 pounds and be at least 5-feet-1, and women must be a minimum of 150 pounds and 5-feet-5.

Saturday’s North Plains Mall blood drive is hosted by Teen Court, a Curry County juvenile justice program.
