Samplings of recent reports filed by Clovis-area law enforcement officers:
Around noon Oct. 17 an officer on duty at a school in the 1900 block of Thornton Street was contacted about a student suspected of smoking marijuana.
The 17-year-old’s probation officer said he had information the youth had smoked marijuana with another student on the way to school.
The officer searched the youth’s car and found a partially smoked marijuana cigarette in the ashtray.
The boy was arrested for possession of marijuana on school grounds and taken to the juvenile detention center.
About 3:30 p.m. Oct. 19 an officer took a battery report at a school in the 1900 block of Thornton Street.
A 15-year-old female student said two boys, egged on by a third, pulled her shirt down in class twice and exposed her chest.
She said she wasn’t hurt, just embarrassed.
The officer made plans to seek warrants for the three boys.
About 3:30 p.m. Oct. 19 officers responded to a school in the 1500 block of Sycamore Street for a report of an unruly student.
The assistant principal said the boy was caught sitting in the back of his bus when he had been assigned a seat at the front. When he was told to move to his assigned seat, she said he began cursing at her.
She said the youth got off the bus and continued cursing at administrators and disregarding their instructions until police arrived.
The officer made plans to forward the case to juvenile probation officers for review.
About 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 an officer responded to a home in the 500 block of 10th Street for a criminal damage report. A man said he saw a male throw a rock through a window and run away.
The value of the window and screen was estimated around $50.
Around 11 p.m. Oct. 19 an officer was called to assist with a situation in the area of Ninth and Connelly streets.
An officer on patrol observed a male on a bicycle crash into the curb.
The officer spoke to the man, who said he was on probation. Noting an odor of alcohol, the officer contacted probation and parole officers and was told to arrest the man for a probation violation.
The man was transported to the jail.
