Theater students headed to festival
The Clovis Community College production of “Buried Child” will play in a February college theater festival in Huntsville, Texas.

The 14-member cast directed by CCC Cultural Arts Director Christy Mendoza is competing with seven other colleges in the Region VI Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival for a chance to perform at the national festival in Washington D.C.

Clovis school board members honored
The New Mexico School Boards Association recognized two Clovis Board of Education members with leadership awards at its Dec. 7 annual convention in Albuquerque.

Clovis School Board President Max Best received a Leadership Achievement award and vice president Lola Bryant received an Outstanding Leadership award.
