LAWTON, Okla. — Cameron used first-half runs of 10-0 and 7-0 to take control and the Aggies pulled away in the second half Saturday for a 62-47 Lone Star Conference women’s crossover victory over Eastern New Mexico University.

Junor guard Jasmine Parr scored 19 points and senior guard Tiffany Williams added 17 for the Aggies (3-12), who won at home for the first time this season (1-5). Senior forward Sarah Moore added 10 points and a game-high nine rebounds, while point guard Merrisa Martinuzzi collected seven assists.

For the Zias (3-10), freshman forward Til-Lois Fifer scored 13 points off the bench, while freshman forward Cat Clay had eight points and eight rebounds.

The Zias got off to a fast start, opening an 8-2 lead three minutes into the game on 3-pointers by Tori Northcutt and Clay. The Aggies then scored the next 10 points, capped by Williams’ 3-pointer at the 14:30 mark.

ENMU rallied back for a 16-13 lead, but two layups by Moore around a 3-pointer erased the Zias’ final lead of the game.

Down 34-24 late in the half, the Zias pulled even when Matta and Blythe McPherson opened the second half with 3-pointers to cap a 10-0 run. Then Parr put the Aggies ahead for good with another 3-pointer, and Cameron took off on a 12-2 run to take control for good.

ENMU did not get closer than eight points the rest of the way, and Cameron’s biggest lead came at the end of the game.

The Zias struggled from the field, hitting 15-of-56 overall (28 percent) and 7-of-27 from 3-point range. The Aggies shot a modest 38 percent from the floor, but converted 8-of-19 on 3-point tries.
