Martin Luther King Jr. Day activities and closings

Symbolic Walk — 9 a.m., Roy Walker Community Center in Clovis, ends at Pattison Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church
March — 11 a.m., Martin Luther King Jr. Tree on the ENMU campus by the fountain
Lunch — 11:30 a.m. for all marchers
Invoacation — 1:10 p.m., by Galen Isaacs
Honorary speaker — 1:15 p.m., Dr. Charles Becknell, Ph.D.
Awards — 2:30 p.m.

In observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, Curry County offices, city personnel offices, local banks and credit unions will all be closed. Also closed will be Clovis-Carver Library, District and Magistrate courts, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the United States Postal Service, Clovis Municipal School and Clovis Community College Campuses. The Clovis News Journal will remain open and observe regular hours.
