Editors recently asked readers if they prefer Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.

Some answers:

• “I favor Obama. I believe he will give our nation a credibility that we have never had before and demonstrate that we not only aspire for diversity as an ideal, but are prepared to truly support it when it comes our way. Though I have always been a Republican, I don’t see anything in my party at present that even looks like true change.” — Raymond Atchley

• “I prefer Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton because she does not appreciate the military … But being a Republican, I wouldn’t vote for either.” — Gerald Majewski

• “Really don’t prefer either one, but would go with Hillary on account of her experience.” — Doug McGregor

• How about neither? I would probably prefer Obama because it is inevitable that Monica Lewinsky’s ex-boyfriend will wreck Hillary’s campaign.” — Frank Dalton
