Agenda items include:
• An agreement with the state to clean up right of ways entering the county. County Commissioner Tim Ashley said complaints about the shabby state of the medians and drainage ditches on state highways coming into town have come to the Land Use Committee.
• Whether the Commission needs to impose a burn ban in the county.
“I think it’s very important that we discuss it in light of the fires that they’ve had in Amarillo and Hereford and Muleshoe within the last two weeks,” said Commissioner Bobby Sandoval.
• Commissioners will also decide whether to apply for USDA grants for three sheriff vehicles and cameras for the adult detention center.
