3-4 Police blotter

Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

About 6 p.m. Thursday an officer responded to a home in the 1700 block of Gidding Street for a subject with a weapon.

A man said he saw his neighbor’s son talking to a male outside. He said the male got a gun out of the trunk of his vehicle and start waving it around.

The case is being investigated as an aggravated assault.

About 2 p.m. Thursday an officer on duty at a school in the 1400 block of Cameo was approached by a female student in reference to a male student touching her inappropriately.

The girl said a male student had grabbed her buttocks while she was walking to class. She said he had done it before and she had told him not to.

The officer spoke to the youth, who admitted touching the girl. He also acknowledged she had told him not to.

The youth received a citation for battery.

Around 2 p.m. Thursday an officer responded to businesses in the 800 block of North Prince Streets for a vehicle hitting a building.

An employee said he saw a pickup truck hit the corner of the building, smashing the headlight. He said the driver backed up and turned, hitting the building next door.

While this was going on, the man said two passengers in the bed of the pickup were yelling at the driver. They got out and he left through the alley.
The passengers said the driver offered them a ride. They said they didn’t know him.

Both passengers received scratches from being in the back of the pickup during impact.
