Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

Around 6 p.m. Wednesday an officer responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard for a report of tampering with a vehicle.

A woman said a man threatened to put sugar in her gas tank because she let his former wife stay at her house.

She showed the officer sugar grains around the gas cap and told him her engine light had come on.

The officer advised the woman to take her vehicle to a mechanic. She said she didn’t have the money.

About 9 p.m. Wednesday an officer took a missing persons report at an undisclosed address.
