The Curry County Sheriff’s office and Rio Rancho Police Department cooperated on the arrest of a 22-year-old Rio Rancho resident, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Kenneth Gregory, 22, was arrested Wednesday and charged with three felony counts of child solicitation by electronic communication device.

The investigation of Gregory began on March 27, when he made contact with a person he believed to be a 13-year-old female from Clovis, according to the release. The profile was maintained by sheriff’s investigators.

According to the release, Gregory’s chat became sexually graphic in nature and he transmitted nude images of himself using a web camera, and he attempted to have the girl convince her parents to take her to Albuquerque for a shopping trip so he could see her in person.

At the time of his arrest, a search warrant was executed at Gregory’s residence in Rio Rancho.

Gregory was incarcerated at the Sandoval County Detention Center and held on a $15,000 cash only bond.
