The Llano Estacado Quilt Guild met July 26 at Trinity Lutheran Church with 20 members in attendance. President Elizabeth Lawrence called the meeting to order. Niki Lee read the minutes. The treasurer resigned and Leigh Reynolds volunteered to take the office.
Reports were given from charity projects including the Hartley House baby quilts, hospice lap quilts, Christmas stockings, Operation Homefront quilts and Blue Star banners. Upcoming events including the quilt show planning meeting were announced.
The Hartley House donation quilt top was shown with a vote taken about getting it quilted. An Opportunity Quilt for the High Plains Quilt show was voted on.
The meeting adjourned and members shared their show and tell items.
Guest teacher, Jean Dean of Midland, Texas taught 18 members how to make an accidental landscape using Karen Eckmeier’s pattern.
