Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
About 3 a.m. Aug. 3 an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of Cedar for a trespassing report.
A man said he was asleep in his living room and woke when the door opened.
He said he saw a “tall, shadowy figure” standing in the doorway.
When he yelled at the subject, he said the person ran out.
The man said his door was unlocked.
Officers could not locate the suspect.
About 6 p.m. Aug. 3 an officer responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Grande Avenue for a criminal damage report.
A woman said she heard glass break in her kitchen and discovered her window shattered.
The officer found the broken pieces of a beer bottle in and around the window.
The window was valued around $200.
Around 8 a.m. Aug. 4 an officer responded to a business in the 1200 block of Main Street for a criminal damage report.
A woman said she came in to work and discovered a beer bottle had been thrown through a small window above the door.
The officer collected the unbroken bottle as evidence.
About 11 a.m. Aug. 4 an officer at the police department took a report of fraud.
A woman said a family member’s former wife traded in his vehicle without his signature.
She said she has power of attorney over the family member’s legal affairs. When she asked the dealership employees to show her the signed title so she could verify the signatures, they refused.
The woman said she was able to repossess the vehicle and wanted a fraud investigation conducted.
