Clovis native wins entrepreneurial award

Clovis native and New Mexico Small Business Development Center Network Director Roy Miller received the PNM Entrepreneurial Advocate Award for his support of minority- and women-owned businesses, according to a network press release.

The award is a joint effort of the Public Service Co. of New Mexico and the Women’s Economic Self-Sufficiency Team, according to the release.

Corn turnrow meeting scheduled for Friday

The Texas AgriLife Extension Service is sponsoring a corn turnrow meeting at 10 a.m. (CDT) Friday at the Chris Bass farm, according to a Texas A&M ag-extension press release.

The farm is located 5.5 miles north of Muleshoe on Texas Highway 214, according to the release.

Field production and pest management data with products including Herculex and Yieldgard will be discussed, according to the release.
