WEATHERFORD, Okla. — Sophomore forward Alicia Cunningham scored in the 23rd minute, and Eastern New Mexico University’s women made it stand up for a 1-0 Lone Star Conference soccer victory over Southwestern Oklahoma on Sunday.

It was the first road win in six outings this fall for the Zias. Freshman goalkeeper Sierra Cardenas made six saves for ENMU (8-6, 2-3 LSC) to earn her second shutout of the season.

Cunningham got her fourth goal of the season after taking a pass from freshman midfielder Kim Luna and beating Bulldogs keeper Becky Hilterbran in a one-on-one situation.

ENMU, 7-1 at home, plays its final home matches of the season this weekend, taking on LSC foes Texas A&M-Commerce at 3 p.m. Friday and Texas Woman’s at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
