RICHARDSON, Texas — Eastern New Mexico University junior forward Samantha Lawrence earned first-team All-Lone Star Conference women’s soccer honors in selections announced by the conference office.
Lawrence was ENMU’s only representative among 52 players chosen for first-team, second-team or honorable mention recognition. The Zias (9-10, 3-7 LSC) finished ninth in the 11-team league, but lost four of their conference matches by one goal.
Lawrence, from Roswell Goddard, set school single-season marks with 15 goals and seven match-winners. She also went on a seven-match scoring streak that included two hat tricks.
A second-team All-LSC choice in 2007, Lawrence now has 28 career goals at ENMU to trail only Megan Dozier (33) in the program’s history.
The Zias and last-place Southwestern Oklahoma (2-17, 0-10), which had no selections, were the only schools with fewer than three players recognized.
