American Heritage Bank in Clovis is planning to build a new headquarters — relocating their main branch from North Main Street to North Prince Street.
President Mac Langford said the bank is in the process of obtaining permits for a a new 7,800 square foot building on property just south of Something Different Grill.
“We’re moving just to better serve the community, to show that we’re here to stay long term and be a big part of this community and eastern New Mexico,” Langford said. “It’ll work much more efficiently than where we are currently and we will have a better presence in that part of town.”
Langford said the bank, which has been leasing its current building since it opened in 2000, is planning to move into the new building by the end of the year.
Langford credited Clovis’ solid economy for the change.
“We’re really thankful that Clovis’ economy is good compared to the national picture. We’re doing good and we expect to show people that we’re committed. (The move) will help us grow and the community grow,” he said.
