Clovis police arrested a 40-year-old man Monday wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service on a robbery warrant from Albuquerque.
Donald L. Howard is being held without bond on a federal warrant, jail officials said.
An investigator from the district attorney’s office spotted him in traffic and alerted police.
Police Chief Steve Sanders said his officers were called to assist an investigator in an unmarked unit around 3:30 p.m.
Howard briefly attempted to elude police but was captured quickly in the parking lot of a car wash near Seventh and Upsilon streets, Sanders said.
