Spay, neuter mobile coming to Clovis

Freedom New Mexico

The Spay and Neuter Mobile Unit is returning to Clovis Friday through Sunday.

The unit is a medical facility that spays and neuters household dogs and cats and provides vaccinations for $30.

Linda Cross, chairperson of the Animal Task Force and the spay and neuter coordinator for Clovis, said the weekend is already booked solidly with appointments.

However, funding from the Winston Foundation has been secured for another trip by the unit in the fall, Cross said.

This weekend’s funding is being provided by the Clovis Animal Welfare League and a $2,000 grant from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Lower-income families or military members ranked E-5 or below can pre-register their pet by calling Cross at 693-7973.

The Spay and Neuter Mobil Unit will be at the Rewards Dog Obedience School at 2504 W. 7th Street this weekend.
