Two separate fires in residential structures kept Clovis firefighters moving Monday night.
Just before 4:30 p.m., fire fighters were called to investigate smoke at an apartment complex at 501 Pile Street.
About an hour later, the second call came in saying an unoccupied, condemned apartment complex in the area of Second and Ross streets was engulfed in flames.
“They left the scene of the first one to respond to the second one,” Fire Chief Ray Westerman said.
Westerman said both fires were extinguished without incident.
The causes are still under investigation, he said.
Records show emergency services were called up to assist a woman and her three children who were displaced by the fire on Pile Street.
