A Clovis woman was arrested Wednesday for distribution of marijuana.
Emily Jaramillo, 27, is being held in lieu of $26,000 bond and is charged with distribution of marijuana, two counts of child abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia, said Undersheriff Wesley Waller.
Also arrested was Ray Gomez, 37, on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a probation violation of a second-degree murder conviction.
Waller said 1 1/4 ounce of marijuana was found during a search of the home occupied by Jaramillo and Gomez at 1017 Cameo St. He said Jaramillo admitted she was selling marijuana to supplement her income. Waller said she told police said she typically purchased a quarter-pound of marijuana at a time.
Gomez was at the residence with Jaramillo and her two children, Waller said, and officers discovered he had outstanding the warrants for his arrest, including a warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals Service for trafficking cocaine.
Waller said Gomez is being held without bond due to the nature of the charges against him.
