CLOVIS — The company that hopes to connect United States power grids at a site in eastern New Mexico has announced an operations agreement to build and run the site.
The Tres Amigas company is pairing with Viridity Energy, Inc., on the project.
The proposed Tres Amigas SuperStation in Clovis, announced last October, would allow electricity to flow more freely across the nation’s three massive power grids, breaking down barriers to ramping up alternative energy in the United States.
Under the agreement announced Wednesday, Viridity Energy will provide the network and commercial operations to sell and deliver Tres Amigas’ transmission services.
