Fugitive convicted of child molestation
A St. Louis jury has convicted Jerry Klinker of child molestation.
Klinker, wanted as a fugitive by St. Louis authorities, was captured in Curry County in April 2009 in the home of then-superintendent of Clovis Christian Schools Steven Schultze.
Shultze was investigated but never charged with any wrongdoing. He and the school mutually agreed not to renew his contract when it ended several months later.
Klinker will be sentenced Aug. 31, court records show.
