Firm contracted for Tres Amigas management services

Tres Amigas, the electric power transmission company planning to build a superstation near Clovis, has given global consulting, design and construction firm CH2M Hill a contract to provide program management services, according to a news release.

The Tres Amigas superstation is expected to tie together America’s three power grids for the first time and save hundreds of millions of dollars, according to the release.

Construction is scheduled to start in 2012 and take about two years.

Under the contract, CH2M Hill is to manage the program and provide logistical support to keep the project on schedule, according to the release.
