Texico City Council supports Curry County Criminal Justice Complex

The Texico City Council on Tuesday passed a resolution of support for the proposed Curry County Criminal Justice Complex in Clovis at its regular meeting.

The resolution, like resolutions from Melrose and Grady councils earlier in the last two weeks, indicates support for two ballot questions at the upcoming November general election.

The phase, at an estimated $33 million cost, would be provided through $16.5 million in general obligation bonds and $16.5 million to come from a .25 percent gross receipts tax increase.

Other phases are on a master plan for the complex, but would require additional votes from county residents.
