Project aids ENMU coach’s daughter

Eastern New Mexico University has announced a “Win for Wallis” campaign in support of Lauren Wallis, the daughter of ENMU defensive coordinator Todd Wallis and his wife, Michelle.

Lauren Wallis was born six weeks premature July 12.

So far, $3,267.08 has been generated through the project, which is based on points scored (236) and turnovers generated (15) by the ENMU football team. The money goes into an account for Lauren at J.P. Stone Community Bank in Portales.

The Greyhounds have four games remaining, including today’s 2 p.m. home contest against Abilene Christian at Blackwater Draw.

For information on the project or how to become a sponsor, contact Norma Stroik in the ENMU athletic office at 562-2153.
