Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
Around 10 p.m. Oct. 19 an officer responded to an undisclosed residence for a report of a robbery.
A woman said she was sleeping on the couch with her son when a man came into her residence and grabbed the child.
She said the man told her to give him the money and he wouldn’t hurt the child.
She told the officer she handed the man more than $600 she had on the couch with her and he handed back her son and fled the residence.
The officer asked her why she had the money on the couch with her while she was sleeping because she had been evicted from the residence and was planning to pay the money to the landlord.
The officer noted that though the woman said her son was crying hysterically during the incident, he did not appear emotionally upset.
The woman’s statement was documented.
About 11 p.m. Oct. 19 an officer responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Echols for a report of criminal damage.
A woman said she had three men she knew in her apartment.
She said she was about to have intercourse with one of them but when he suggested she let his girlfriend join them, she told the men to leave.
As they were leaving she said she slammed the door on the last one exiting and got it shut. She said he turned around and kicked it in, breaking the door frame.
The door was valued around $200.
Around 2 p.m. Oct. 20 an officer took a report of criminal sexual penetration of a minor at 300 Connelly Street.
A woman said her 16-year-old grandson had been going out with a 22-year-old woman and she believed they had been sexually active.
She said she told the female to stay away and her grandson tried to break it off but the female kept harassing him.
The officer took the woman’s statement for documentation purposes.
About 6 p.m. Oct. 20 an officer responded to the area of Fifth and Sheldon streets for a report of indecent exposure.
Residents in the area reported a man was walking around in the area exposing himself.
A female said the man walked up to her porch where a 17-year-old girl was with her young niece and nephew. She said she came out and moved closer to the children to protect them and asked him to cover himself but she said he didn’t and just walked away.
Another man said he told the man to put his privates away and the man asked what was wrong with them being out and kept walking.
Officers located the 56-year-old man and arrested him for aggravated indecent exposure.
