Windrush Alpacas is hosting an open farm day March 12 to give people a chance to learn more about alpacas.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the second Saturday of every month, visitors are invited for free tours of the Clovis farm.
In addition to a guided pasture tour, visitors can learn more about alpacas through educational demonstrations and will have opportunity to learn more about the animals up close and in person.
Free light refreshments will be provided.
Windrush also has a farm store where visitors can see and purchase products hand-made from alpaca wool.
“Our aim at Windrush Alpacas is to educate people about the benefits of owning alpacas, share our experiences and mentor alpaca owners as their business grows and prospers,” according to the farm’s website.
Windrush asks that visitors do not bring dogs. Cameras are encouraged and guests are advised to wear close-toed shoes and sunscreen and or hats.
The farm also offers appointments for those who would like to visit outside of Open Farm days.
