Allsup’s plans official opening Monday
The upgraded Allsup’s store at 21st and Prince Streets was set to officially open Monday, a representative for the store said.
“We’re going to shoot for 6 a.m.,” said Steve Munoz, area supervisor for the chain.
However, Saturday saw plenty of traffic at the location, and a clerk who answered the phone said the crew was shooting for a Saturday night opening.
The new store features 20 pumps, with four designated for diesel, along with more space and merchandise.
The company is considering other location upgrades, but might simply renovate buildings instead of demolishing current structures and replacing them.
“As far as right now, we’re looking at other ones,” Munoz said. “I’m just not sure when that would (take place).”
