Clovis police will offer free child identification kits from noon to 4 p.m. April 2 at the police substation at North Plains Mall.
The kits include identifiers for fingerprints, height, weight and voice recognition, according to a press release.
After the child’s identifiers are documented, the kits are given to parents to be stored in a safe place in the event the information is ever needed.
The program is part of an ongoing community outreach effort hosted by the Clovis Police Department in the substation on the first Saturday of every month.
