Clovis students qualify for national competition

The Clovis Municipal Schools Family, Career and Community Leaders of America students participated in the state competition in Albuquerque, according to a news release.

The release said 11 students qualified for the FCCLA National Competition to be held in July in Anaheim, California.

Yucca Middle School competitors:

• Samantha Michaels — bronze in Applied Technology

• Breanna Michaels — silver in Career Investigation

• Lynzie Starritt, Ashley Crouch and Mikayla Yoesting — silver in Chapter Showcase

• Ashley Barnett — silver in Focus on Children

• Dannelle Kirven — gold in Chapter Service Project Display

• Camille Ulibarri — silver in Chapter Service Project Manual

• Isaiah Rios — silver in Illustrated Talk

• Ashlee Shannon — gold in Cake Decorating

• Derek Nunez and Zack Burrell — gold in Crudities

Clovis Freshman Academy competitors:

• Gabbie Brewer — gold in Chapter Showcase

• Cassidy Lee — silver in Chapter Service Project Manual

Clovis High School competitors:
