Clovis has its own sandlot.
Stu Stratton of Clovis set up a wiffle ball field in an empty lot across from his home on Howard Cowper Street.
Stratton said he set the field up about three years ago, thinking the lots would fill up and it wouldn’t last long.
But Stratton and his son Taylor Stratton, 14, spent another spring break playing pick up games with neighborhood children and the younger Stratton’s friends this week.
Stratton took to the pitching mound and a group of boys ranging from age 10 to 14 lined up ready to bat Friday, their last day of spring break.
