The annual Home and Garden Show begins Saturday, running through Sunday and promises a full house of vendors, products and ideas.
With something for the whole family, organizer Todd Farrell said this year about 50 percent of the 78 vendors who have signed on to show products are new and the show will fill the entire Clovis Civic Center.
Farrell said he thinks diversity will make the show unique this year. Vendors hailing from communities throughout the region will be on hand to present home and garden products and everything in between, from chocolate, candles and free child identification kits to items to fit personal needs.
“I think there’s something for both male and female and different age groups,” Farrell said.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, demonstrations will be held in the center ballroom showcasing everything from cooking to cleaning and recognizing harmful insects in the home.
Last year, turnout at the show, sponsored by the Home Builder’s Association of Eastern New Mexico, was about 3,500 people. Farrell said he would like to see more than 4,000 this year.
