The annual Smoke on the Water fireworks display for July 4 in Clovis is till $13,650 short of becoming a reality.

Donations can be made at the Clovis Curry Chamber of Commerce.

Camp days

The Portales Rams Girls Basketball Camp is set for today through Wednesday at the Portales High School gym.

The camp is open for girls entering first through eighth grade, and the cost is $35.
