Seth Pearson of Portales received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering May 15 from Norwich University, Vermont.

Norwich University was founded in 1819 and is a private military college.


Colonial School District Curriculum Supervisor Sergio Anaya, former graduate of Portales High School and Eastern New Mexico University, has been asked by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) to chair an initiative involving the enhancement of Standards Aligned System’s (SAS) Curriculum Framework and the development of Cornerstone Assessments in social studies. As the lead in this project, Anaya will work with noted education consultant Jay McTighe and PDE staff members.
