Pintores artist of the month

Scott Blazek

Each month Pintores Art League of Clovis features a display at the Clovis-Carver Public Library located at the corner of Seventh and Main Street across from the Curry County Courthouse.

In the month of June, featured artist Scott Blazek exhibits samples of his children’s book illustrations, notably his Clovis Crawfish and friends that adorn the story tales of the late Mary Alice Fontenot, award winning author from Louisiana.

Along with Blazek’s creatures from the southern swamplands are also some samples of his other artistic endeavors, including coin and medallion designs, and surrealistic compositions with a religious theme.

This exhibit is on display near the children’s library area until June 30.

In July, the scheduled artist of the month is the Pat Weekly, popular for her southwest themes and still-life compositions.
