Former Zia great Goble-Poyer inducted to LSC Hall of Honor

Former Eastern New Mexico University volleyball and basketball star Jennifer Goble-Poyer has been inducted to the Lone Star Conference Hall of Honor, according to an ENMU news release.

One of the most decorated players in Zia history, Goble-Poyer led ENMU to its best volleyball record as well as to regular season and tournament titles. The Zias were 105-35 during her four years on the volleyball team.

In basketball, she paced the Zias to an LSC regular season basketball tittle. The Zias’ basketball record was 74-36 during Goble-Poyer’s four seasons.

Goble-Poyer holds several school records including career solo blocks (360) and solo blocks in a match (18) and career total blocks with 791. She also is ENMU’s all-time scoring leaders with 1,852 points.

According to the release, Goble-Poyer is the team’s only four-time first-team LSC selection in volleyball and was the LSC Player or Co-Player of the Year all four years, and earned LSC Player or Co-Player of the Year honors twice in basketball.
