Flying high

The Federal Aviation Administration has approved grants to help with construction at several airports in eastern New Mexico. Here’s a list:

• $250,985 for Clovis Municipal Airport to complete the relocation of

navigational aids.

• $120,000 for Portales Municipal Airport to rehabilitate the apron.

• $260,378 for the Tucumcari Municipal Airport for the rehabilitation of

taxiways needed to maintain structural integrity of the pavement. The

airport will also receive $156,302 to fund an airport master plan to

assist in planning and future growth.
