Alltech expanding Clovis plant

Alltech is expanding its Clovis facility to include a plant to make Optigen, a feed that allows more flexibility in adjusting the formulation of cattle’s rations to compensate for high corn prices and the impact of weather on this year’s planting, according to a news release from the company.

According to the release, plant construction should finish at the end of July, with manufacturing starting soon after. At least three employees are to be added to operate the plant.

Also, because the company has been succeeding in the Southwest, the Clovis sales team will expand, according to the release.
