The Portales Public Library Summer Reading Program ends this week for both children and young adults.
An end-of-the-program party for all participants is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Library. The party includes prizes.
The final events of the programs, movies showings are set for Friday. “Apollo 13″ for 12- to 18-year-olds is to show at 2 p.m., and “Arctic Tale” for younger children at 10:30 a.m.
The next in a series of city of Clovis neighborhood meetings on the affordable housing referendum is 6 p.m. today at Colonial Park Golf Course (District 1).
The special election on the issue is Aug. 2
The Youth Recreation Building (YRB) groundbreaking postponed last week is rescheduled.
It’s 10 a.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Park, Seventh and Sycamore.
