Weather threatening Christmas parade

The fate of Clovis’ Christmas parade will be determined by 2:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from Clovis MainStreet.
The parade is scheduled to begin on Main Street at 6 p.m. Saturday, but snow and dangerously cold temperatures have been forecast.
“At this time, we plan to proceed with the parade,” the release said. “However, if a severe or hazardous weather alert is issued, we will cancel the parade for the safety of participants and attendees.”
If the parade is canceled, the announcement will be made on Rooney-Moon radio stations and on MainStreet’s Facebook page, the release said.
The information will also be available by calling 575-309-8370 and through area media outlets, including the Clovis News Journal website at www.cnjonline.com
