Bucher

Gregory Bucher received The Conquistador Council and the El Llano Grade District of the Boy Scouts of America District Award of Merit.

He served in the Air Force and is a veteran of Desert Shield, Desert Storm and was part of the response team to the Oklahoma City bombing in April 1995.

He is a graduate of ENMU and is a teacher at Portales Junior High School.

He enjoys helping his students with many in school and after school activities such as the Drama Department, cheerleaders, chaperone at dances and tutoring those in need.

He is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow. During his 39-year tenure as a truly dedicated scouter he has served in numerous positions including: Scoutmaster, Troop committee member; merit badge counselor, BSA national camp inspector, OA Dance team advisor, and has helped with countless activities, camporees, expositions, scout fairs, banquets, roundtables, and Eagle boards of review. He is currently serving as a unit commissioner and the El Llano Grande District Training Chair.
