A Muleshoe man was killed and a Clovis man injured Tuesday afternoon in one-vehicle accident on U.S. 82 east of Dickens, Texas.
A Department of Public Safety communications spokeswoman said the DPS received the call about 12:30 p.m. (CST).
A 2003 Chevrolet two-ton utility truck driven by Tanner Bertram, 23, of Muleshoe struck a guard rail. The vehicle left the roadway, entered the center median and overturned.
Bertram and his passenger, Michael Reid, 22, from Clovis were taken by ambulance to Crosbyton to meet Aerocare.
Bertram was pronounced dead at the Crosbyton (Texas) Clinic Hospital.
Reid was taken by Aerocare to Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock with multiple broken bones, according to the DPS spokesperson. He was listed in stable condition Wednesday.
The DPS spokeswoman said there is no indication speed or alcohol were factors in the accident.
The two men were not wearing seat belts.
