Man sought for health condition turns self in

A Clovis man who New Mexico state health officials were trying to locate because of a contagious medical condition turned himself in Wednesday morning to Plains Regional Medical Center, according a press release from the Curry County Sheriff’s Office.

The New Mexico Department of Health was granted a temporary order of protection Jan. 27 requiring that Robert. J. Gutierrez, 45, of Clovis, be isolated at a medical facility.

Gutierrez was diagnosed with active pulmonary tuberculosis with cavitary lung disease.
