Monday morning briefing: A recital, a send-off and a windy day

Good morning and welcome to the Monday briefing.

Music, music, music

Eastern New Mexico University in Portales will host the Junior Voice Recital of Nicole Flores 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 at Buchanan.

The event is free and open to the public.

The recital will feature three exclusive arrangements of Italian art songs for voice and percussion ensemble, arranged by Tony Steve.

Bon Voyage Will Banister

Country crooner Banister and his Mulberry Band are headed to London and there’s a send-off party 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Norman and Vi Petty Rock ‘n’ Roll Museum, 105 E. Grand.
