The Triple L Band will be part of a benefit concert 7 p.m. Saturday at Oasis State Park.

The event, a collaboration of the park and Friends of Oasis, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at the park.

The concert will feature the Triple L Band of Portales and M&M and Friends of Floyd.

"It's a fundraiser for the park," said Amy Miller of the Triple L Band.

While the concert itself is free, admission to the park for non permit holders is $5 per vehicle. Proceeds from the event go towards improvements at the state park.

"We'll put a bucket up if they want to donate more," Miller said. "They've got the park looking good."

Park Manager Jim Whary said the amount raised isn't enough for any major infrastructure additions, but does help in making general improvements to the park.

A flyer for the event advises concert goers to bring their own seating. Whary advised that there are no concession stands and spectators could bring their own food and drink, but noted alcohol is not allowed at the concert.
