Miller being ordained Immanuel Lutheran pastor

Michael Miller will be ordained as the pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Clovis 4 p.m. Sunday.

Miller will be officiated by Rev. Randall Golter, Rocky Mountain district president. Circuit Counselor Rev. Gary Piepkorn of Portales will assist in the ordination.

A reception for Miller will follow the service. Miller grew up in Oakland, Calif. and graduated in 2000 from Berkeley High School. He studied theater at Western Washington University.

He first attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Bellingham, Wash.

Miller is preceded by Scott Blazek, who served as pastor of Immanuel since 1990.
